Since I had business at North Kingston I decided to take a look at Galilee Bird Sanctuary at Point Judith. From what I read this is one of the better places to go in Rhode Island during the Jan and Feb months. Well, my visit was a total bust and those Rhode Island roads and drivers did not make it any easier . As a result, here are a few pics of mallards at Swansea Dam from a couple of days ago.

Mallards and Ring-billed Gulls visit here. The mallards like it here for the open water when other ponds are iced over.
